In a press conference held in Brussels on November 28, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg addressed the repercussions of Putin’s Russia initiating a conflict with Ukraine. Discussing the frontline dynamics, the NATO secretary-general acknowledged Ukraine’s substantial progress throughout the year, both on land and in the Black Sea. Concurrently, Stoltenberg observed that Russia has incurred over 300,000 casualties, experienced significant losses in its conventional armed forces, and is grappling with economic pressures.

Stoltenberg emphasized the diminishing political influence of Russia in its neighboring regions, stating that “year after year, Moscow is pledging its future to Beijing.” He outlined these developments as manifestations of Putin’s strategic error in invading Ukraine, concluded Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
