US and Ukrainian delegations have begun peace talks in Jeddah. Ukraine is represented by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The highest-ranking US official present is Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian presidential office, the talks have “started very constructively.” These talks take place against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict and aim to find pathways towards a peaceful resolution.
