Albania’s AI Minister of Public Procurement, known as Diella (meaning Sun), is set to “give birth” to 83 digital assistants for parliamentarians. Prime Minister Edi Rama announced this development, as reported by NDTV World.
Premier Rama stated that each of these “children” will serve as a personal assistant for a member of the ruling party.
These digital assistants are designed to record meeting proceedings, help with documents, and inform parliamentarians about topics discussed in their absence.
The new system is expected to be operational by the end of 2026.

NEWSROOM IN notes: Albania was the first country in the world to integrate artificial intelligence into its government. Diella’s primary responsibilities as Minister of Public Procurement include automating public administration and overseeing tenders to mitigate corruption risks and eliminate human influence.
