“Where are the aliens?”: Obama’s first question as president
Speaking on the No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen podcast, Barack Obama admitted that the subject of UFOs had interested him since the start of his first term. When asked by the host about the existence of extraterrestrial life, the politician answered in the affirmative, though with a caveat regarding personal contact.
“They exist, but I have never seen them,” Obama stated.
According to the 44th U.S. president, legends about aliens being held in secret Nevada laboratories are untrue. He emphasized that they are not kept at “Area 51” and that there are no underground bases there—unless, he joked, their existence was hidden even from the commander-in-chief as part of a “grand conspiracy.”
Secret Pentagon archives and the mission to Mars
Obama’s 2026 statements represent a continuation of his long-standing position on unidentified flying objects. In 2021, the former president confirmed the authenticity of UFO footage from Pentagon archives. He noted that the U.S. possesses imagery of objects whose propulsion and movement patterns defy scientific explanation.
When Cohen asked what answer he most wanted to receive upon becoming president, Obama replied: “Where are the aliens?”
