DeepSeek AI Founder’s Major Contribution and Control<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Founder Liang Wenfeng<\/strong> provided nearly half of the raised capital. Before this funding round, Liang owned approximately 90% of the company’s shares. He personally invested around $3 billion in this round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To maintain control of the company, the leadership implemented an unconventional financial structure. Most external investors did not acquire direct shares in DeepSeek. Instead, they channeled their funds into a specially established limited partnership managed by Liang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investment terms are highly restrictive. Participants are required to lock up their shares and cannot sell them for at least five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
